Since the1980s, educational researchers had started to attach great importance to teachers’job burnout. Until the1990s, job burnout had become a prominent issue in the field of teachingin worldwide research. Throughout great amount of domestic and foreign literature research,teachers are the high flections crowd of job burnout. Female EFL teacher in junior middle schoolis a special group. Their burnout and stress are partly from the community, schools, students andother work in school, partly from the family, what’s more, partly from the female teachers’ theirown unique personality, physiological and psychological characteristics. So much pressure set onfemale teacher in one, it is obvious that this group is more prone to job burnout. If we don’t paymore attention to this group and take effective countermeasures, not only the students’ physicaland mental development is endangered, but also the teachers’ troops construction can be affectedand the educational quality of school is restricted, therefore, it has enormous negative impact onfemale EFL teachers in junior middle school.In this study, relevant theoretical research on job burnout is a basis. Moreover, employingthree-dimensional Maslach burnout questionnaire adapted from MBI. The questionnaire mainlyconsists of three parts: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment.Meanwhile, quantitative and qualitative research methods are adopted.115female EFL teachershave been participated from junior middle schools in Jining City. Furthermore, representativeteachers were interviewed to tell something about their living and working status. Throughquestionnaire and interview, we can analyze the causes of teachers and propose effectivemeasures to alleviate female EFL teachers’ job burnout.The results indicate that female EFL teachers in junior middle school are experiencingmoderate job burnout, showing a little higher level of emotional exhaustion and personalaccomplishment while a little lower level of depersonalization. Overall, the level of teachers’ jobburnout is not so much serious. There are many factors that impact on this issue, in addition tothe effects of age, seniority, marital status, wages, hours and other pressures, as well as, family,female teachers’ own factors, work environment and research etc. Studies have shown us thatamong these factors,6-10years and11-15years of teaching experience suffer the most seriouslevel. Wage level is a key factor that impact on teachers’ teaching. The reasons are found fromquestionnaire and interview and the solutions to resolve this issue require the joint efforts that arethe society, school, female individual and government organization.
