Abstract/Summary:
In the development of rural education,affected by factors such as working environment,social status,school management,salary level and work pressure,rural teachers generally have job burnout,showing reduced job satisfaction,lack of education and teaching enthusiasm and unwilling to devote themselves to work,which seriously affects the Quality of teaching of basic education.The test was shown that the "the need for work" model can well explain and predict the phenomenon of job burnout.Based on this research,this study takes rural junior middle school female teachers in Bazhong City,Sichuan Province as the research object,starts with teachers’ job burnout,adopts the method of case study,and collects data by using the methods of literature,interview and physical analysis to study the job burnout of three female teachers.Firstly,I entered the research site and understood the current situation of ABC job burnout of three female teachers in rural junior middle school through in-depth interviews,and gave them the MBI-ES scale,the mean scores were 3.272,2.526 and 4.59,indicating that They had serious,general and very serious job burnout respectively.Secondly,based on the guidance of resource conservation and gender theory,this paper formulates an analytical framework to analyze the factors affecting the job burnout of rural junior middle school female teachers from the two dimensions of job requirements and work resources,There are nine aspects:the high work intensity,traditional female roles affect personal development,interpersonal difficulties,it’s hard to juggle work and family,performance evaluation is not fair,high economic stress,limitations of rural environment,few training opportunities for advancement and lack of school support.Finally,based on the above analysis,the commonness and characteristics of job burnout of rural junior middle school female teachers are summarized,in the dimension of emotional exhaustion,physical and mental fatigue is caused by high work intensity and school dehumanized management;in the dimension of de personalization,alienation from others is caused by contradictions in rural working environment,interpersonal communication;in the dimension of low personal achievement,meaninglessness and negation of teachers’ work are caused by lack of clear planning for the future and high expectations for family happiness;it also shows the characteristics of the conflict between life stage and professional role,and the interaction between gender characteristics and personal development.Strategies are put forward from the perspective of school organization and female teachers,so as to alleviate their job burnout and promote the healthy development of rural education.
