With the establishment of the socialist market economy system in our country, as a part of the third industry, sports industry gradually shows potential as a sunrise industry, sports events, as the most dynamic city marketing, the most influential events, its operation is also gradually towards marketization. In recent years, the sports event with its appreciation and the impact of universality and become the focus of attention of people, a big sports event can get huge economic benefit and social effect makes the organizations at all levels are proud of can apply for to the host.Article use literature method, Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process, the study of relevant literature, a preliminary complete local brand competition in the construction of index system of Jiangsu province, and through the empirical evaluation of Yangzhou distinguishing international half marathon, verify this article build feasible in local brand competition evaluation system. This paper, the main conclusions are as follows:First, with the increasing competition between the national and local, hold sports events has become the important means for promoting the development of the place. Build a system of logic, more scientific and reasonable evaluation index system of local brand competition, is conducive to the understanding of the comprehensive sports events can bring various influence of venue for local brand competition theory and guide the practice of the sports department, has important theoretical and practical significance.The second, Local brand competition means, sports competition as the core, is connected with a particular location, the local social, economic, cultural, environmental impact, and for many years, and the site has become an important symbol of social activities. This study based on the system evaluation theory and the sustainable development theory, to evaluate local brand competition.The third, Filtered using the Delphi method to primary indicators, using analytic hierarchy process level of the determination of index weight coefficients, final7first-level indicators,20secondary indexes and47tertiary indicators.The fourth, The level of competition, the impact on the society, the economic impact of the three indicators of the highest weight coefficient, and basically the same, the environmental impact of index weight coefficients of the lowest. At all levels of index weight calculation, on the basis of local brand competition evaluation index system is established. Will be brand competition evaluation hierarchy for brand of top class brand competition, brand competition, the competition at three levels.The fifth, Yangzhou distinguishing international half marathon in2013and2013ring Taihu lake international road cycling race as an example of the evaluation index system and standards are verified, the results show that the two events overall belongs to the brand competition of Jiangsu province.
