City Group Public Identity Constructed

The urbanization level is one of the important symbols of modernization level. In today's urbanization development, an increasingly obvious characteristic and trend of urbanization in group, scale and integration has been shown for us, with urban fusion as its advanced stage. April 2006, in "Some Issues on Promoting the Rise of the Central Region", Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban fusion entered the "national team" as one of the key areas of the "Rise of the Central Region". The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban fusion includes not only fusion in industry, finance, education, traffic, technology and function, what's more important, it includes fusion in cultural identification, concepts and ideology, namely, the recognition of urban fusion citizenship. Therefore, the study of the recognition of urban fusion citizenship has theoretical meaning in social fusion--higher level of urban fusion and urban construction.The recognition of urban fusion citizenship refers to the division of their citizenship of every citizen among urban fusion and their recognition as citizens in urban fusion. It could divide into three categories:recognition, emotion, and behavioral action.This research is based on the existing identity recognition theory and social memory theory, taken Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban fusion as example, and adopted questionnaire form for date collection.From the research, it shows that citizens in Changshai, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan have higher identity recognition degree of urban fusion, and among which, recognition degree is higher than emotion and behavioral action. It also uncovers that there is no relation between the identity recognition degree of urban fusion and social population variable. But the citizen's identity recognition is based on the society they are living. Influence factors on identity recognition degree of urban fusion include development evaluation on urban fusion, recognition degree of government role, awareness degree of social policies, development expectation of urban fusion and social interaction. Citizen's awareness on city's development policies and social interaction will affect citizen's evaluation on recognition degree of government role and urban fusion development, and further affect the expectation on urban fusion development, therefore finally come into a relatively stable citizenship recognition of urban fusion.
