In 2001, our nation started the new reform of basic education curriculum, this curriculum reform proposed new requirements for teachers'teaching concept and teaching style. As "the basic education curriculum reform outline (the trial implementation)" indicates:the goals are to gradually achieve the reform of students' learning style, teachers'teaching style and the interaction between teachers and students. All these reforms should be basic on the innovation of teachers'teaching concept. The curriculum reform should be a fundamental reform of educational concept. The teaching concept, which leads the value orientation, decides the direction of teachers'teaching style and teaching behavior. So the study of teachers'teaching concept is the most important of all.This topic, chaired by Shaanxi Normal University, is a sub-topic of "the status of implementation of history curriculum reform in middle school"—belongs to "the survey of ten-year implementation of the new curriculum reform". Though the survey of Shaanxi Province, Ningxia hui autonomous region and Xinjiang uygur autonomous region, the topic, in an objective pragmatic and view, reflects the recognition and implementation of the new teaching concept in the current history curriculum reform. As while, the topic is close to the reform and based on the advanced teaching concept. Finally, the topic will give us a clear understanding of the status of history teachers' teaching concept since the ten-year curriculum reform, and provide guide for the majority of history teachers.The essay will be divided into five parts:The first part:introduction. This part will give an introduction to the background of the study, the significance of the topic and the relevant literature, contents and ideas. The second part:the definition of teaching concept. It will give the relevant definition of concept, teaching, teaching concept, the relation of teaching concept and education concept, and the relation of teaching concept and teaching behavior. The third part will give an introduction to the history curriculum reform. It will mainly talk about the teaching concept proposed by the new curriculum reform from the aspects of teachers, students and teaching, which is also the theory evidence of the study. The fourth part will be the results and the analyses of the survey. This part will use SPSS-18.0 statistical software to analyze the data. The fifth part will be the final results and reflection.As the result of the study, since the curriculum reform, the history teachers in Northwestern area have general knowledge about the teaching concept proposed by the new curriculum reform to some degree; most history teachers could recognize the new teaching concept. However, the study also reveals the problems which still exist in recognizing the new curriculum reform, for example, some teachers don't put the teaching concept into practice, and don't connect the teaching concept and teaching behavior very well; Some teachers also have some misunderstanding or rigid understanding about the teaching concept, and just follow simply. All these problems mentioned above should be improved.Above of all, the implementation of the teaching concept is still the most important aspect of the new curriculum reform.
