National System of Political Economics is the most important works of Friedrich List, who was an outstanding economist and a pioneer of German Historical School in the first half of the 19th century. On the basis of this works, this thesis describes List's Infancy Industry Protection Theory comprehensively and profoundly. The body of this thesis is devised into five chapters: Chapter one describes the history situation in which List put forward his theory; Chapter two describes the main contents of List's theory; Chapter three summarizes the characteristics of List's theory through the comparative study of List's theory and the theory of Classical School; Chapter four describes the contributions of List's theory in theoretical and practical field and points out some defects of the theory; Chapter five firstly describes the necessity for policy-makers and scholars in China today to turn to List and his theory for illumination, secondly this chapter tells the reason why List is so unknown in China today. |
