Concentrative meter-reading system is a high-tech electronics product. It has advantages that artificial meter-reading system doesn't have therefore it can be a substitute product. Shanda Luneng Information Technology Co., Ltd. (shortened as SDLN) began the research and development in the year 1998. In 4 years since then, the enterprise has got certain economic benefit as well as market recognition and reputation. The automatic meter-reading system is getting more and more consummate as more competition arising in the market. SDLN takes a series of measures to be more competitive.Main advantage of SDLN with automatic meter-reading system is its R&D. The corporation has a research group of 15 people while only 3 people work in the marketing section. Comparatively speaking, SDLN pays less attention in its marketing. As a result, the sales volume has been increasing with a low rate since the system was launched. Therefore, an urgent issue needs consideration of SDLN management group is the marketing strategy of the concentrative meter-reading system.Applying theories of marketing, economics and enterprise strategy, the author makes use of analysis, charts demonstration, and the 5-competition model of Mike Baud to analysis the system on the basis of actual investigation, and brings forward the marketing strategy in the article.The concentrative system is introduced generally before the analysis of its present market situation and main problem. Thorough analysis is carried out on exterior environment of SDLN (including macro environment, market analysis, competition analysis and key factor analysis) together with interior environment (like enterprise status, business practice, organization structure, developing course, advantages and disadvantages). A marketing strategy is proposed on the basis of above thordugh analysis.
