Reading is an important channel for children to acquire knowledge.Through reading,minors can improve their cultural literacy,improve their personality,and guide them to establish a correct world outlook,values and outlook on life.Therefore,it is essential to develop the reading ability of minors.The cognitive development level of minors at different stages of their growth is quite different.As a public cultural service institution,public libraries should not only provide reading services for the public,but also take the responsibility of social education.Therefore,public libraries should formulate personalized reading plans for minors according to the physical and mental development characteristics of minors at different ages,that is,graded reading plans.With the rapid development of digital technology,the reading habits and ways of minors are undergoing tremendous changes.Digital graded reading is the inevitable trend of the development of graded reading business in public libraries under this background.The digital graded reading service of the public library will help the cultivation of minors’ information literacy and digital reading skills,so that minors can adapt to the modern education mode.Therefore,this article uses the network research method to investigate the digital resource construction,activity practice,infrastructure construction,and reading promotion of digital graded reading in seven regional public libraries in East China,South China,West China,Central China,and North China,it is found that the current digital graded reading service for minors in China’s public libraries has problems such as inadequate construction of digital resources grading,weak awareness of digital graded reading promotion and incomplete coverage of groups,single activity form,and insufficient reserve of professional librarians for children’s services,and puts forward scientific development strategies for the problems,with a view to providing help for the development of digital graded reading service for children in public libraries. |
