Competencies are personal attributes that can differentiate between outstanding employees and common employees, including motivation, traits, self-image, attitudes or values, knowledge, cognition, conduct and skills, whatever attribute that can be reliably measured or counted, and be able to evidently distinguish between outstanding and common characteristics.Overseas researches on competencies have achieved far-reaching fruits, which provide a new perspective to human resource management, helping definitude qualifications that are indispensable for accomplishing tasks effectively, which offer convenience for selecting, training, assessing and guidance of career development.The research used behavioral events questionnaire interview, psychological test and based on the employee samples from the customer service position of a communication enterprise. The study aimed at exploit competencies suiting for specific positions, which provide scientific standards to selecting, training and other attributes suiting for human resource works.The research results indicated that employee competencies of the customer service position of the communication enterprise included the following attributes:I achievement and action: achievement-oriented, initiative,information-collection, impacting and influenceII assistance and serving: interpersonal communication,customer serving-oriented III self-efficiency: self-controll, self-confidence IV knowledge: operation knowledge V personality characteristics: stability, persistency and sensitivity...
