On The Post-cold War Nationalism

Nationalism is a very complicated topic In International Political Sci-ence．After the cold war,the international Strategic situation changedremarkably．The change brought a series of influence upon the develope－ment of nationalism．Learners have been studying nationalism from dif-ferent angles and have got a great many understandings in the study．That makes the study even more complicated． The author used a new angle-the developement of the words,i.e．nation and nationalism,and found the concept of nationalism is a com-ound word of the ethnicism,triblism,racism and pan-nationalism．Andfrom this angle,the meaning of nationalism is the doctrine or theory andhe practice of the human communities which are at different stages oftheir development．Here,the definition pays a special attention to the dif-ferences of the developement of the human communties． Then,the author used this defination to analyse the post cold-warnationalism．The article mainly covers the new risings of nationalism；thenew types,the new features.And there's a comprehensive analysis of thecause,the influence and the trend of nationalism developement． Finally,the article concludes:in order to keep a steady and prosper-ons domestic situation,We should practise a rational policy in dealing theethnic problems in China．...
