Xunzi attaches a variety of meanings to the "Dao" category, "Dao" is the morality held by the Confucians, or a standard principle to measure things, or a ceremonial or cultivating way to shelter and found a state, in many cases, it also means the way to govern the country. The discourse on "Dao" by Xunzi is rich in content, extremely broad in scope. Extracting the contents of Xunzi's thoughts on "Dao", combined with comprehensive study on these related exposition of "Dao", it makes Xunzi's Daoism. In this way, xunzi's Daoism is theorized and systemized, it is clear that the formality of xunzi's thoughts on "Daoism" is a system based on reality and experience.According to the philosophical connotation of pre-Qin's "Dao", this thesis gives emphasis on the specific content of Xunzi's "Daoism".Doctrines of Confucius and Mencius focuses on the daily human relations and fulfillment while Xunzi focuses on the human insight, on the human feelings, and on the understanding of social reality, which makes it show more specifications, feasibility, practicality, social and many other features. On the basis of thorough and deep study, this thesis analyzes the influence of Xunzi upon "Daoism" and the new ideas placed on it, thus explains the ideological features of Xunzi. In the hope of expanding thinking to some extent, this thesis will further present the Xunzi's theory as an important theoretical model in the course of early Confucian's development.This article is divided into four parts, which uses the inductive and research methods to comb the context of the Confucian "Daoism" in the period of pre-Qin, thus paving the way for Xunzi's inheritance and reformation of Confucian "Daoism". With the methods of historical analysis, this article summarizes the ideological and political background to form Xunzi's thoughts on "Dao" and discusses the theoretical fundament of its.By summarizing the connotation of Xunzi's thoughts on "Dao", this article will give new consideration to the principle, approach and channel of traditional "Daoism" by comparison, and to reveal the Confucian "Daoism" not only consistent with historical facts, but also benefiting for the present generations. On the basis of historical research comparing with the reality, this article will elaborate the faithful practice of thoughts on "Daoism".
