| Avigdor·Arikha, an Israeli painter, was born in Romania where a Jewish family in 1929. The early of his life was drifted from place to place. He was got a chance to enter the Palestinian Jerusalem School of Fine Arts in 1944, later studying in Paris Art College. The fashionable post-war abstract expressionist style made a great impact on Arikha. At the last 50' s, he was considered an avant-garde Israeli promising abstract expressionist painter. But by the late 60s, he abandoned abstract art to realistic way.In this paper, Arikha's works and artistic style of internal sources is analysed. Arikha historical sketch view the source and the significance. The author also explored the characteristics of the formation of the works that Arikha created; To brush calligraphy works as the starting point of the pen tips Arikha; then from the perspective of a painting as performance, this paper is comparing the works similarities of Giacometti, Morandi and Arikha, to understand Arikha's works of spiritual content, include the performance of Arikha figurative painting study for the role. |
