| Zhuangzis linguistic imaginative feature is the most influential characteristic for the development of Chinese literary history, and its imagination is rich and free, as no works of its times could be comparable to. And considering it is lack of systematic and intensive studies in the research field of Chinese literature, the topic, study on Zhuangzis linguistic imaginative feature, is chosen for my paper. So in my paper the comprehensive and systematic reorganizition will be made into the imaginative characteristic and methods of Zhuangzi and its relations with Zhuangzi's philosophy.Firstly, the characteristics of imaginative categories in Zhuangzi will be analysed. Here, based on the variety of imaginative objects in Zhuangzi, they are categorized into five units, individually as object, event, scene, person and god. And their characteristics will be given by the analysis of Zhuangzi's use of symbolic way, exaggeration, and metaphor etc. and its comparison to the works of its times. Secondly, the imaginative systems, which consist of these categories, will be analysed. Here, the composition among these categories as well as between categories and other textual parts etc. will be given. Then, on the basis of the intensive study mentioned above, the analysis will be made on the relations between Zhuangzis imaginative feature and Zhuangzi's philosophy, and the difference of Zhuangzis imaginative way of thoughts' expression among the works of its times will be disclosed by the comparison with Mengzi and Xunzi. Finally, there are the historical factors, which had made great effects on Zhuangzis imaginative features, and the influence of Zhuangzis linguistic imaginative feature on works of later ages involved. |
