Children's poetry is a type of children's literature and also a branch of poetry. As one type of children's literature, understanding the mental thinking of the children is the first step for us to explore the aesthetical characteristic of children's poetry. It is also important to master their unique understanding of aesthetics. Truth, goodness and beauty are the essential aesthetic value for children's poetry. However, truth, goodness and beauty are mortal. In this paper, the author attempts to reemphasize aesthetic pursuit, under present context and from the perspective of children, newly examines and analyses the core of aesthetic pursuit, in order to find the new opportunity from the poetry itself.In chapter one, Children's poetry and truth, goodness and beauty. Contemporary children's poetry in its artistic transformation emerged a group of outstanding poets and works, but we have to see the reality:Children's Poetry in today's children literature is in embarrassing situations. By investigating children's interest in poetry reading, we conclude that the main reason that they are not interested in poetry is because they are lack of aesthetic pursuit. Considering the poetry itself, we realize that reiterate the aesthetic pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty is a necessary and timely topic. Only by taking children's thinking as a base for the art, persisting the principle that goodness is beauty, creating musical and artistic form, we can achieve the high degree of unification of truth, goodness and beauty. This is an important way to achieve the aesthetic idea of children's poetry and the only way that children's poetry can really come into the children's vision into the hearts of children.In chapter two, Children's poetry aesthetic connotations of analysis. Marxism aesthetic critically absorbed various theories and scientifically explained the dialectical relationship of truth, goodness and beauty. Truth, goodness and beauty are the dialectical unity of content and form of children's poetry. From the content, the beauty is the dialectical unity of truth and good; from the form, the beauty is the dialectical unity of truth and goodness. The meaning of truth, goodness and beauty develops as the social history and art develop. The immortal truth, goodness and beauty do not exist. Under present historical circumstance, we should offer new understanding and definition to the intension of aesthetic pursuit of children's poetry that conform to the value of truth, goodness and beauty. In the content, its intension includes four parts:first, imaginativeness. Children's "animism," "man-made theory", "any combination" determine the characteristics of thinking is imaginative. Imaginativeness is the aesthetic quality of children's poetry. The second one is game playing. Games are the bridge which connects the internal and external world of children. By reading poetry---the special game, children begin to know the future world. The third one is love. Love is the forever topic for children's literature. In children's poetry, love is a broad concept. To understand the meaning of love, learn how to love, is very important for children to form a beautiful heart and nice character. The fourth one is love the nature. The contemporary children's literature should pay more attention of the love of nature, build a new ecological view and pursue the harmony of human beings and nature. In the form, its intension often reflects in two aspects:music and painting. Music is an important character of children's poetry that embodies from rhyme, rhythm, tone and structure. The highest degree of music in children's poetry is its unification of poetry and expressiveness of music. The beauty of painting is conveyed by conception and choice of color, composition and image is the important way for the construction of conception of children's poetry.In chapter three, the opportunity for the development of children's poetry. Based on the research of the aesthetic pursuit and intension of children's poetry, the author shifts its focus on the modern society, calls for the development of children's poetry. The campus call for pure children's poetry, children call for modern poetry. These calling reflect our expectation for the aesthetic pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty.
