Popular revolt was a kind of common phenomenon in Chinese feudal society. There were thousands of ordinary people struggle for their survival interests in each dynasty. During the New deal in late Qing Dynasty, popular revolt around the whole nation reached Chinese feudal society's highest peak. Especially in the vast rural society, various forms of rebellion occurred one after another. The rebellion occurred not only widely but also frequently and fiercely. Continual country popular revolt had a strong impact on local governments. It made the regime bases of Qing Dynasty collapse gradually.The large scale and fierceness of country popular revolt during the New deal in late Qing Dynasty were very rare in Chinese feudal society. So, its causes have been paid close attention in academic circles. Based on the previous research, this paper will try to analysis fully and objectively the reasons of continual country popular revolt from the economic, political, cultural and social aspects. This paper also will clarify the causality between the New Deal and the excitation of rural rebellion and reveal the historical inevitability of Qing Dynasty's destruction.Although the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty was a reform which the rulers saved the crisis, contributes to promoting the reform of China's modernization, it defeated finally due to abuse of reform initiatives. This paper will summarize the experience and lessons, in order to provide reference for present society.
