Nowadays when living in the informationized and digitalized world, the ways of information communicating and reading have been changed enormously. Though traditional media like newspapers, broadcasting and television have taken important roles in the information communication domain, mostly they only via sole sense organ to accomplish comparatively sole function of communication, comparing to the new media such as internet, which limits the form of design basing on these media. The new media not only have the advantages of the traditional ones, but also are capable to integrate various elements of information, such as language, words, sound, graph and image, to bring compositional and comprehensive experiences to the audiences. In the meantime, all kinds of advanced technologies have been developed rapidly and used widely, freeing the limits and ties when creating logos, strengthening the visional expressive force of logos, expanding greatly the creative thoughts and spaces of designers. As a result, we can find diverse and individualized styles in modern logo design. By in-depth analysis and reflection of classic logo design cases in the world, discussing various aspects like configuration concepts, representation forms and communication ways, this thesis dissertates the multi-dimension developing trends of identity system, presents new concept of logo design, then ultimately inspires ideas and methods of logo design, to some extent, helps and benifits the process of identity system creating, provides groundworks and references for further research.
