Censen,one of the greatest poet in Tang Dynasty,famous for his poetic descriptions of boundary scene.Critics in history considered his poetry"exotic".Many Scholars made investigations of how Censen's style took shape and some invaluable conclusions were arrived at. This thesis aims at the analysis of Censen's poetry from the perspective of image.Generally speaking,rhythm and image are considered to be the basic elements in poetry.Image,as one of elements,is the important medium in the expression of poetry,and plays a very important role in the formation of style and expression of poetry.The author picks up the flowers,grasses,horses, dreams and in Censen's poetry and makes an analysis of the reason of exoticness in Censen's poetry.In addition,the thesis reveals that Censen's poetry is actually a continuous process of development.The reason why Cen poem is odd is that it has a close contact with the poet-sensitive nature,the intention to select a specific image and the specific way that poet deals with image.Pungmul frontier fortress is novel and unfamiliar for people without life experience of frontier fortress.Poet brings in a real life experience in the process that is from strange to familiar,and transmits the real experience through exaggeration symbols,metaphor, personification,etc.The strange image is made vivid and visualization in order to remove people's aesthetic barriers and express different emotional experience to create a unique singular style.We can clearly see that Censen is trying every effort to make image novel and peculiar painstakingly from the rich development of the selection of Cen poetic,the way and method of artistic conception.
