| University Chinese is a public and basic course which features instrumental and humanistic. It aims at improving students'accomplishment of Chinese ,morality and beauty taste.The compiling of University Chinese teaching materials is according to the standard of university Chinese course and the syllabus and real needs of university Chinese teaching . The teaching materials affects the quality of the course teaching directly.The research objects are chosen from five representative materials,which are"University Chinese"(published by the East China Normal University Press in June,2005 with the chief edidors of Xuzhong yu and Qisenhua) ,"University Chinese" (published by the Nanjing University Press in May,2003 with the chief editors of Wangbugao and Dingfan,"University Chinese"(published by the Higher Education Press in March,2005 with the chief Editor of Chen Hong),"New University Chinese"(published by Foreign Language Teaching and Researching Press in May, 2005 with the chief editors of Ding Fan, Zhuxiaojin and Xu Xing,and"Advanced Chinese"( published by the Jiangsu Education Press in July,2007 with the chief editor of Wenrumin.The writer comprehensively made some comparative research on the five materials.The full text is divided into three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The body part consists of five chapters.Introduction outlines the writing background, meaning, train of thougt and research methods.Chapter 1The comprehensive analysis of the meaning,function and research of University Chinese Materials.It introduced the meaning of the University Chinese Material, Illustrated the function of improving the Chinese quality,morality and beauty taste,and made comments on some essays of University Chinese Materials research which were recently released.Chapter 2Brief introductions of the five University Chinese materials. It introduced the compiling ideas and main characteristics of the five materials separately.Chapter 3 the comparison of the styles of five university Chinese teaching materialsBasing on the analysis of writing styles and characteristics of five teaching materials, study the problem settings of guided reading and expanding study and arrangement of writing content.It is mentioned in this book: there is a problem, which we must bring into consideration during the compilation of teaching materials, that what is the proportion of guided reading and expanding study. The knowledge and ability training of the practical writing which they will use in their university life and future work should be fulfilled by certain courses of practical writing. It is impossible that the university Chinese course which has limited lessons promotes the writing and reading ability at the same time.Chapter 4 The comparison of the selections of five "university Chinese " teaching materiaslsThe proportions of ancient and modern selections, the proportions of Chinese and foreign selections and the percentage of repeats of them in middle school Chinese teaching materials are analysed and discussed.It is mentioned in this book: It is beyond reproach that the classic ancient Chinese articles hold the major position and at the same we should also have somes modern quality ones in university teaching materials; it is very necessary to have foreign literary works for about 20% of the selections, and it is not proper to shut them out of the university Chinese teaching materials. There should not be much repetition of University Chinese teaching selections in middle school Chinese teaching materials, only if it is really related to the teaching demand.Chapter 5Several suggestions of the construction of university Chinese teaching materials It is necessary to further clear the guiding ideology of the compilation university Chinese teaching materials, improve the solid construction of the system of university Chinese teaching materiasl, support quality teaching materials and eliminate poor quality ones.Conclusion conclude the wholel text.Points out the shortcomings and the future research direction. |
