This thesis, which studies time-adverb +'de'+ noun structure, investigates time-adverb,noun and the whole structure respectively. As for time-adverb,it summaries 164 certain time-adverbs on reference to the time-adverb range concluded by past scholars, meanwhile it gives a further classification to all of the time-adverbs. Then it searches from corrupts according to those 164 time-adverbs and comes out with 38 time-adverbs which can modify noun as adjective. Besides after classifying the 38 time-adverbs,it finds out that most of them are aspect-adverbs and indicated-frequency adverbs. Finally comes the conclusion:generally the time-adverbs which can modify nouns as adjectives are double-syllabled and with the meaning of time length. As for noun, this thesis investigates the main categories of headwords which can be modified by those time-adverbs. There are three categories:predicate phrase for reference,subject-predicate phrase for reference and noun. Later the developing route of these headwords is analyzed. Then seven sub-categories of noun headwords are summarized from semantic aspect. Finally it searches for the feature of the nouns and finds out that these nouns that can be modified by adverb are of temporarily. As for construct,it compares time-adverb+'de'+ noun with time-adverb + noun from syntactic and semantic aspects. To some extent these two structures present a complementary state as for the chosen of time-adverbs. Tense adverbs modify nouns as attributives, while aspect adverbs modify nouns as adverbial adjuncts. What's more, the range of nouns in which structure time-adverbs are attributives is much wider than that of the nouns in which structure time-adverbs are adverbial adjuncts. As for syntactic function, these two structures also appear to be complementary. Finally, this thesis tries to delve prototype of this phenomenon and attempts to explain the pragmatic motivation of its appearance.
