Li Jianwu is a eminent playwright on the history of Chinese modern drama. he wrote and recomposed over 40 plays including comedies, tragicomedies and legendary plays throughout his life, and made great contributions to the development of moderd draram. This dissertation discourses upon Li jianwu its person, the aestheties of drama, the value of drama, the relation between Li jianwu's plays and the recourses of western plays and traditional opera, and reception history of plays.The introduction part has carried on the simple narration to Li Jianwu in the history of literature status: In the writers since the May Fourth Movement, Li JianWu called the versatile person: novelist, translator, proser, dramatist, literature reviewer, literature researcher of France, an outstanding performer and director, but there are very few people know him whom regarded as the dramatist, open a modern literature history at will, it is very difficult to find Li Jianwu's name. This dissertation considers that literature history position and honor obtained by him are not lined with his contribution, and expresses own's views on the current academic research on Li Jianwu's comedy made by the present academic circle, Thus establishes the research angle and the writing elaboration breakthrough point of myself dissertation.The second chapter narrates and comments the creation throughout Li Jianwu's life, and makes detailed comment on Li JianWu's comedy achievement And alternates the impulsion which its comedy creation's mental journey - - goes home (Tracking back to homeland and childhood : The thirties creation is depended on disregarding being from time or from on space to hometown and childhood tracking back) and the core of Li's aesthetics of drama - - etenal humanity (Li JianWu maintains literature should be set up on the foundation of the human nature, the humanity viewpoint is the core of Li's aesthetics of drama) Li's aesthetics of drama provides new literary experiences and literary illusions, and his exploring of modern humanity responses the human's literature in Wusi period.The third chapter discourses upon the value and contribution of Li's comedy. It is composed of creating characters, the technique of comdy, and the rhetoric arts of comdy's language. In the end it summarizes Li's contribution to the modern comedy.The fourth chapter discourses upon the Li's creative absorption to the recourse of western drama and the traditional opera. The first on discourses upon the relation between Li's comedies and Moliere's comedies and traditional operas.
