The transmigration of history always has some meaningful information. In modern China's educational and cultural fields, there are always large-scale of educational reform movements after waves of enlightenment. There is much information hidden behind the historical inertia: Enlightenment becomes the stronghold of modern education's occurrence and development and the emergence of modern teachers. The enlightenment in the cultural field is able to move to the field of education and to play such a great role in it, the fundamental reason lies in the profound cornerstone that established in enlightenment behind the complex educational phenomenon.Teachers'existence in modern China has unique value and significance because of the enlightenment and the image of teacher produced in China's unique context of the enlightenment. The image of teachers in the expositions was not only refers to the object constructed in novels but also refers to the subject constructing education. At the same time in modern China, the subject constructer of the new literary overlapped with the identity of teachers in a large number.The uniqueness of the Chinese enlightenment is the national salvation pursuit of the rising power dream combined with the saving pursuit of aspirations of modern national character. The two thought lines of enlightenment established stronghold for the modernization of China's education and development and the derivatives of modern teachers'image. The uniqueness of enlightenment implemented in reality level, which is transferred to the vision of educational field, the establishment of new schools, the reform of educational system, teaching content and curriculum innovation, ideals and beliefs of education, and so on were built up. New teachers appeared and gradually grew up in a new educational environment. This paper focuses on the growth course of two generations of new teachers, displaying the significant role that enlightenment played in the production and development of education and teachers. In the enlightenment context of"for oneself means for the country", teachers had given themselves the role of dual identity, and made it an occupational group that have persistent spirit. In the unique context of Chinese enlightenment, the image of teachers in the novels emerged two characteristics as a whole: One is the image of teachers to take saving people, that is, modern national salvation pursuit as the core of their educational philosophy. The other is that education saving country and society had become the attribution of educational value.The image of teachers in modern fiction can be summarized to three main images: degenerated type, alienated type and the enlightenment type. Modern teachers have new coats: the degenerated type is of self-imposed exile and represented the primitive people's desire; alienated type used ego to confront with a variety of extrusions, the two characters used negative form of existence to high lighten the unique value and existing effect of teachers. The enlightenment type is the vivid display of human's primitive belief, using ego even superego to respond to the request of enlightenment for teachers.The purpose of education is to cultivate but not regard people as a mean of educating. the highlights of modern significance of human makes the image of teachers in modern education system to take the podium as the initial stage of enlightenment, teachers returning to the origin walk into classrooms with the self-confidence division and personality of teachers, with modern Western ideas of education﹑ form and content, opened a new era of enlightenment education. What's more, the subject of enlightenment should conclude more people, but enlightenment trapped in dilemma and appeared superficiality in China because it confined to the classroom and the city, the image of teachers stepped from the city into the countryside. With the socialization of schools, teachers chose easy ways to help people accepting new knowledge. They cultivated the country and people with their tenacity and devotion.In the vision of enlightenment, the image of teachers was historically constructed, although they still have many shortcomings and defects. With the image of teachers, writers reconstructed generally imagine of the entire community to teachers. In the 20th century of China, this forerunner group used the faith of "carrying a heart to come, not bringing grass-roots to go" and sincere efforts to warm the hearts of people.
