Centering on the Han officials of Jin royal government, this thesis studies the education and imperial examination system of Jin dynasty. On one hand, the Han officials strived to accelerate the formation and development of education and imperial examination system of Jin dynasty. On the other hand, as a community without enough political power, their social status was greatly enhanced as a result of commitments to education and culture. Along with the maturity of education and imperial examination system, the group of the Han officials launched an enormous growth and attained more achievements centered on the stability and development of Jin dynasty. Generally speaking, the Han officials' contribution to the education and culture system not only promoted the politics, culture and nationality fusion and consequently strengthened the basis of the reign, but also disseminated Confucianism, with the improvement of the sense of Confucian culture approval as a result. This serves as the significance of the study of the Han officials and the education and imperial examination system of the Jin dynasty.
