There-are seven pieces of horizontal inscribed boards by emperor granted to the Imperial Academy officials in Qing Dynasty in the Confucian Temple and Imperial Academy Museum. The first is the horizontal inscribed boards by emperor shunzhi, next it is from Emperor kangxi to Emperor xianfeng. The contents of horizontal inscribed boards recorded is seven emperors of Qing dynasty to the Imperial Academy give lectures of Biyong,then the emperors granted the imperial edict to the Imperial Academy officials such as jijiu, siye and so on.This paper makes a comparative study,using documentary records and horizontal inscribed borads. Firstly, comb the shape and contents of horizontal inscribed borads. Secondly use words interpretion to reduct the literature record data; then analysis similarities and differences of the contents. Finally,explore the historical information and cultural connotations of horizontal inscribed borads.The author thinks that these seven pieces of horizontal inscribed borads from emperor shunzhi to emperor xianfeng, paying attention to Confucianism, sacrificing Confucius and the emperor gives lectures of Biyong. It is a important substantial evidence of Qing Dynasty from peak to gradually debilitating.
