Chinese Preposition Framework Pp Study

The preposition frame is an important type of Chinese grammar, but we didn't pay more attention to it all along .Although it had some study on this structure in the recent years, it is also in a initial stage on the whole. The study of "PP 上" with highest frequency of occurrence can show the characteristic of Chinese on the preposition frame ,and provide usefull reference for the other types of preposition frame.The dissertation starts with the form of "PP 上" ,and inquires into the semantic development, the change of syntactic location form synchronic and diachronic aspects, also it clarifies the developing sequence of ideas. Based on the above findings, we discuss the syntactic function of "PP 上", and study the appearance and hide of "P" and "上". In addition ,we use the theory of non-symmetry and metaphy to explain the non-symmetry between "PP 上"and "PP 下". The dissertation ,which is based on the previous results, enriches and details the understanding of the preposition frame further.
