On The Contribution Of Ugyen Dorji On The Tibetan And Chinese Culture Communication

Lcang skya Rol pa'I rdo rje was the important person of the Qing Dynasty. As the unique rabbi possessed the highest political status awarded by Qing dominator, he rushed about between heartland and borderlands participating in settling ethical and religious problems, and made the great contribution to the consolidation and stabilization of Mongolia and Tibetan districts. Furthermore, he built Tibetan Buddhism temples, wrote the bookmaking about Buddhism, translated the sutra, worthwhile, delivered the lecture to the lamas and the laymen, and recruited the prentices. Through Tibetan Buddhism, he constructed the bridge between the Han nationality and the Tibetan nationality, and promoted the cultural communication infinitely.The object to this thesis is Lcang skya Rol pa'I rdo rje's cultural enterprise. I analyze his religion background, thinking basic, learning groundwork and probe into these factors' function on the cultural communication. I also summaries Lcang skya Rol pa'I rdo rje's cultural enterprise and point out its influence. Finally I refer to the relationship between Lcang skya Rol pa'I rdo rje and Qianlong in order to research into the advantage which Lcang skya Rol pa'I rdo rje held and the basilic support which Qianlong provided.
