On The Substance Of This Thought Of The Pre - Qin China

The people-based thought is one of the important political ideologies in ancient China, and it is the researching object that the academia pays close attention to too. But up to now, the scholars debate endlessly on the essence of the people-based thought, unable to decide which is right. so, it is necessary to probe into the bottle-neck subject again. Considering that the people-based thought stems out of the transition from Shang Dynasty to Zhou Dynasty and takes shape in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Periods , the author focuses on the discussion of the people-based thought of the pre-Qin period , using Marxism theory, carries on systematic investigation on the essence of the people-based thought of the pre-Qin period by way of tracing to the source, in the hope of correcting its essence and making its source clear, making its essence appear clearly. Therefore the author clarifies the concept of the people-based thought on the basis of investigating the meaning of the word "people" during the pre-Qin period, thus announces the class attribute of the people-based thought of the pre-Qin period; through examining the impact which the historian change of the power of the god and the people give to the relationship between the monarch , the god and the people, the author investigates the course of producing and forming process of the people-based thought of the pre-In period, and probes into its class essence; in the investigation of the basic content of the people-based thought of the pre-In period, the author only slightly investigates relationship between the nation and the people and the relationship between the god and the people , both of which center around the relationship between the monarch and the people. Clarifying the essenceof the people of the pre-Qin period can offer us a key to know the people-based thought of ancient China correctly, and can offer a reverse-side reference to the person-based democracy which we advocate today.
