Northern Wei Epitaph Reading Notes

Research on the epitaphs has attracted many specialists of epigraphy and historians.With lots of new epitaphs unearthed recently,the epitaphs of Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty have become more and more important.But those of Northern Wei Dynasty,which are the main ones of Southern and Northern Dynasty,haven't been studied adequately yet.Some of the related thesises or articals we can collect are in accordarnce with one or a part of epitaphs of Northern Wei,some are the notes taken down to the stone and book of rubbings.There are rarely systematic studies on them.This thesis researches completely on the epitaphs of Northern Wei,based on "the Notes to Compilations on the Epitaphs of Han,Wei,Southern and Northern Dynasty'Vhich was written by Zhao Chao,and according to "the Concentrated Notes to the Epitaphs of Han,Wei,Southern and Northern Dynasty'Vhich was written by Zhao Wanli.By studing on the notes,related histories and words,the thesis revises the errors in the notes taken down,replenishes the historical records and supplies the earlier examples for "the Chinese Great Dictionary".
