Research On Li Ciming's Notes About Historical Records And Han Shu

Historical Records and Han Shu have caught the attention of scholars indifferent periods since they were written, the research results about these two bookscan be called all-encompassing. Li Ciming, one of the famous scholars in late QingDynasty, inherited the legacy style of Qianjia academic schools, and focused hisattention on textual research. During the process of reading Historical Records andHan Shu, he took a lot of content-rich reading notes. The main contents of the notesare the textual criticism, the phonology and scholium, the sentences correction andthe research about historical facts, which includes studies of characters and events,geographical research, System textual research, the textual research of the names andthings, etc. Moreover, Li Ciming not only read Historical Records and Han Shu, but also did his own researches on the notes and the results of his predecessors.
