This study used the qustionnarie(SCL—90) to investigate 2400 representative minority(Han, Miao, Buyi and Dongzu) middle school students, then contrast the results with the norm so that we can know the mental health state of Han students and the minority students , in another way we can know the differences between them. The results are: 1.The overall mental health condition is good, the total rate of inspecting of mental problems that reached middle serious degree is 20.04%, ; 2. Each factor of the minority students in SCL-90 is higher than the norm, showing the minority students mental health degree is low lever; 3. The minority students' scores in SCL—90 are a little bit higher than Han students, (especially Miao students),, showing that the minority sdudents' mental problems are more serious than Han students; 4. Junior students' mental health degree is lower than senior students; 5. Female students' mental health degree is better than male students.
