Initial Sandbox And Its Clinical Diagnosis

Initial Sandtray had very important and especial significance in sandplay therapy system, it did not only present the problem of clients, but also offered the clues and orientation to healing. Sandplay was a mature technique and system of psychotherapy, during its development, some sandplay therapists also considered sandplay as a diagnostic measure. They studied on the diagnostic potential of sandplay, and their finding suggested that sandplay was a potential diagnostic measure.This study investigated the sign of themes on initial sandtray, put it and statistic and computer technology together, we hoped to find some diagnostic sign of children behavioral problem. To these aims, 65 primary school students were divided into two groups by Conners Teacher Rating Scales: behavior disordered and normal students firstly. Secondly , based on the characters scales, we analysed the characters of the initial sandtray of the 65 students. Last used logistic regression on the date of the two ones in order to find the diagnostic characters of behaviors problem children.The result suggested that there are more wounding and less healing theme signs in behaviors problem children' initial sandtrays than in normal children. A diagnostic regression was set up from initial sandtray signs to hyperactive factor, the other three factors need study further.
