"han Building Biography

The main topic of this paper is about Fan ye's first writing a biography for ordinary literators in his work—"The history of Donghan" and the development of literature in Donghan. The text consists of three chapters. Chapter One is the background of Fan ye's writing "The biographies of ordinary literators ", aiming at the historical evidence of the literators being written into the history record. In Jin dynasty and Song dynasty, people were interested in making corpus for literators in ancient time, which reserve abundant material for Fan Ye's work. And the development of literature in Song dynasty urged Fan Ye to make a biography for ordinary literators. Chapter Two is about the affinity between literators and Confucians. I compare the selecting standard of "The biographies of ordinary literators"and "The biographies of Confucians", the difference between the literators and the Confucians in their career, so as we can get a clear cognition about the condition of ordinary literators in Donghan. Chapter Three is discuss the psychology of people on literature in Donghan. In a word,in Donghan, the development of literature came into a new phase, but the literature still can not replace the Confucianism.
