Zhang Ailing is one of the best novelist in Chinese modem literature history. She was famous and very welcomed by the readers at that time when she published her first novel in 1943.Zhang ailing used "Zhangailing Style",which adopting the techniqus of Chinese classic novel's tradition and Western modern novel ideas,to write down the 1920-1930's abnormal life of abnormal old and young, men and women living in the higher society of Shanghai and Hongkong. Her short noval () has been regarded as one of the best novels in Chinese modern literature. But after 1949, the differences of view of literature between her own and the one of "New Literature '"s became the greatest difficulties for her to be accepted by the new literature, especial her marriage with Hulancheng .So, she leaved her motherland for America and never restepped her homeland again nil her death.With the development of economic revolution in China mainland from 1980's, Zhangaling started to become a household word in China. With the number of her fans increasing.she began to be accepted by mainland's literature field and be viewed as the greatest popular novelist with modern character in Chinese literature's history. Meanwhile, she has been worshipped by the mainland's readers as a star of a new kind of popular culture growing in China. The classicise road of Zhangailing just reflected the past 20 years adjusting of Chinese three kinds literature. The main part of my thesis is composed of five parts:Part one: Zhangailing has become a focus of Chinese mainland's literature gradually from 1980's.There were a lot of articles about her and her novels .but little essays tells about the acceptece of Zhangailing in mainland in recent 20 years.Part two: Looking back the background of Zhangailing's age , I will explain why she went aboard in 1952 and the true reasons of her been kicked out from the literature's history and readers' area in mainland.Part three: Before 1995: Zhangailing just began to be accepted in Chinese mainland's literature and academic fields. She played a important role in the process of building new culture in maidland.Part fore: After 1995: "Zhangailing " has become a familiar name in mainland. There were many a article to give a wholely view of her life and writings. Many of them spoke very highly of her novels and essays. From then till now, lots of schoolers have done the same things to reshape the golden body for Zhangailng. At the same time, she has gained great popularity from mainland common readers. In their eyes ,she was a spiritual tutor and brand of modern fashion.Part five: Zhangailing is and will be a blooming rose. Chinese mainland's "Zhangmi" will go on pay their attention to her. And the articles on her will become more and more. In the heart of her readers and researchers ,she will be regarded as a blooming rose.
