In the long survey of print development, both Chinese and western print art underwent the reproductive stages. Generation of all sorts of printings came into being from the evolution of typography. So when print appeared under the guise of reproduction, its content and representative manner were restricted by the reproductive artwork. Since industry revolution supplying typography with dynamic wings, it has acquired phenomenal advancement with the increase of the demand for information transmit and tremendous development of science and technology. While print art born from typography has dismantled the function of image copy undertaken for centuries and has entered the palace of modern art as a kind of art mode with purity and singularity. After the deprivation of reproductive stages new vigor has been implanted into the creation of print art through new technologies, new productions and new conceptions, which makes it obtain the further development and enhancement. Modern painting must be mentioned to have impinged on print art: deprivation of the fetter of traditional mode whenever from content to form and tremendous conversion of the whole creativity consciousness and speculation way. Modern painting, like a rainbow, has been vigorous on the painting stage with its novel originality and has brought conventional painting with a fresh light. Exploitations on creative idea, breakthrough from the fetter of traditional mode, colors abound in challenge, divergent composition manner and irrational spirit responses are undoubtedly exhilarants to the print art. What was concerned in my research was the influence of modern art thoughts on the representative consciousness of print creation. Through systematic and profound investigations on the development of Chinese and western print and the status quo of copper print, I have made further research on the copper print embodying the affluence of language and the nationalization process of Chinese copper print. In combination with a large quantity of historical facts, literature, painters and paintwork, further investigations were carried out. Representative consciousness in art creation was accentuated and a new conception- poetic intuition, which was extracted in creation, was proposed. In doing so problems involving enriching the manifestation of copper print art were solved during the process of print creation, conjunctive points appropriate for the exertion of personal language were found and attempts were made to convert between the emotion and the copper print technique.
