The so-called 'basic skill', generally referring to fundamental tactics and basic techniques, is a critical factor in piano performing. These techniques and regulations, as well as other requirements, such as scientific and systematic training, which apply to basic piano teaching major, are also applicable to advanced piano teaching in musical education courses. Through such basic training courses, we can not only improve the performing skills but also enhance the overall quality and ability of our students. We are aiming to use piano as a tool, combined with other courses, to organise teaching and training.In this thesis, the roles that basic skill training courses play in piano teaching system for music educational major in normal colleges and universities, are preliminarily studied, using references analysing, experience summarising, data analysis, figuring and tabling, and comparison methods.Chapter 1 The importance of basic skill training for piano teaching in normal colleges and universitiesA huge sum of teachers is in high demand by a civilised society. To create talents with various music-performing skills is a requirement of society to school music teachers. Piano, as a lively tool in music courses, is rather important because of its multiple functions which is capable of playing single or double. Therefore,piano teaching, in particular the basic tactic excercise that is the fundamental for advanced piano performing, is significantly important among other courses in normal college and university teaching.Chapter 2 Problems associated with basic skill trainingAlthough this chapter emphasizes on problems associated with basic skill training, the logical relationship between 'skill and art' will still go through the entire discussions. The importance of basic skill training is further strengthened, by analysing the history of piano performing and development of skill training.Chapter 3 Teaching system and methods of the basic skill trainingOn the bases of basic skill training tactics, after having studied and analysed ten aspects associated with the basic skill training, the author is trying to establish a relatively systematic teaching scheme for normal college and university piano courses.Chapter 4 ConclusionsThe fundamental role that basic skill training plays for piano performing should not be ignored in piano teaching in normal colleges and universities. Teachers, with the assistance of scientific training methods, should help students to develop excellent performing attitude, and to improve the overall personality. |
