After the classical writing is replaced by the vernacular writing, researches on vernacular writing is the first-must major issue to resolve. In the face of this unprecedented historical responsibility, a large number of scholars have put into the researches on vernacular writing theory, among which Ye Shengtao and Xia Gaizun are important two. As colleagues, relatives and friends, they are like-minded, have similar ideas on vernacular writing, both have published their own writing works and had co-written a textbook, one of which is"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches".The current academic researches on"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches"mainly focus on the meaning of it as the part of"Chinese hundred and eighty lesson", or focus on the knowledge of articles. Although there are arguments about writing in some of these studies, but there are few words which are not systematic. So far, there is no paper which analyzes"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches"from the perspective of writing. This thesis will avoid the traditional research perspective, focus on the status of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches"in the writing, and mainly discuss the writing theory.The thesis consists of five parts. The first chapter is the overview of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches", describing the writing process and historical background of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches"; the second chapter is about the arguments of stylistics, discussing three kinds of stylistic classifications according to the ways of expression, social uses of article and cognitive process of the people; Chapter three is about the writing theory of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches",discussing the writing theory of the narration, exposition, argumentation, lyrical and description; the chapter four is about the writers of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches",discussing the observation literacy and mental quality of the writer, of life; chapter five is about the implications of"Wen Hua Seventy-two speeches", discussing its three implications to current writing teaching.
