Xiao Wei Su is an active female screenwriter in recent years. This paper attempts to explain the dual dimension of her film script and literary works and is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an overview of her creation, focusing on her life experience and growth from an amateur writer to a professional screenwriter. The second chapter analyzes her novel, "White Dog Swing," and her script, "Nuan," as examples, and discusses her adaptation skills as she changes her characters and details. The third chapter summarizes the two themes of her work as "the modern concept of human equity" and "urban complexity of nostalgia." The fourth chapter looks at characterization as a starting point to analyze the two types of people that she used to shape her works, to explore how she shapes her characters, and to illustrate her close relationship with the characters. In other words, she uses real life experiences; differences in personalities, to a large extent, determine how she chooses her themes and characters, and they also affect her work style. The fifth chapter sums up Su's aesthetic style and reflects her ability to adapt as she integrates gentle beauty and balances narrative with lyrical beauty.
