Qinjunwei, the full name is Qinjunwei Zhihuishisi, was founded on weisuo system of Ming Dynasty. As a royal army, it had an honored position and complicated founction. Qinjunwei was an army in Beijing, the capital of Ming Dynasty. It was founded in Nanjing by ZhuYuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, including twelve armies. Then it was moved to Beijing by ZhuDi, the third emperor, and at last it was expanded to twenty-six armies by ZhuZhanji, the fifth emperor. After ZhuDi moved the capital to Beijing, the yamen of Qinjunwei was in Beijing, the armies cultivated their farms and garrisoned in Beijing, they took part in all kinds of wars and coups in the capital. It produced profound influence on military, politics and economy of this city, so it is an important component of the research on the history of Beijing. Besides, as the core of the military of Ming Dynasty, Qinjunwei made far-reaching effects to the whole empire, so it is a significant content of the study on the history of Ming Dynasty. Qinjunwei system was a central military system and displayed its local features. Compared with other local weisuo, the differences lie in administration, personnel, function and train. It is extremely worth researching.
