Climacteric syndrome is a common disease,western medicine consider that it occurs mostly in menopausal women,It is a group of syndrome that is caused by the fluctuative decrease of the woman's estrogen level in her menopausal period. This syndrome's main peculiarity is vegetative nerve functional disturbance, and psychological disturbance is accompanied. At present,the commonly treatment to perimenopause in modern medical science is hormone replacement therapy(HRT), but drug adverse reaction and certain potential carcinogenic risk influence compliance and serviceable range of HRT. Climacteric syndrome corresponds to syndromes around menopause in TCM. Chinese medicine consider that causes the disease to kidney mainly due to kidney yin and kidney yang deficiency, or Kidney Yin deficiency affect the heart, liver, spleen, leading to a variety of pathological changes. Professor Huang kejia thinks that the occurrence of female climacteric syndrome has a close relation to the kidney and liver. when she reaches the age of menopause, kidney gradually decline,menstruation will be dried up;due to liver and kidney homologous extent which rendered insufficient liver blood,liver and body dystrophy ,catharsis disorders,depression with the characteristics of vulnerable women,so many the formation of liver stagnation of the body. Professor huang combines her 30 years of clinical experience and through systemic adjustments, which has a unique perspective of climacteric syndrome. In the treatment,the professor use nourish the kidney and soothe the liver to treat the disease.
