All in all, drugs chiefly used are tonic for liver, kidney and spleen, supplementing qi and nourishing yin, promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis ,inducing diuresis to alleviate edema and removing dampness and phlegm. All this reflects that the etiology and pathogenesis features of the DN are The vacuity and deficiency-excess complication.
