| Object: observe the clinical effect of acupuncture and herbal drugs in hyperactivity of Liver-Yang Sydrome of dizziness (vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency, VBAI). And analyze the mechanism of combination of acupuncture and herbal drugs in treatment.Materials and methods:Randomize 60 patients into 2 groups who met the criteria: treatment group 30 patients(acupuncture with herbal drugs), and control group another 30 patients( only herbal drugs). Treat these 2 groups with calming the liver and suppressing yang, nourishing the liver and kidney. According to < science of acupuncture and moxibustion >, the former group treat patients with Fengchi (G 20), Baihui (GV 20), Jiaji acupoints(C3-7), Dazhui (GV 14), Neiguan (P 6), Taixi (K 3) and Taichong (Liv 3), etc. they are used 1prd, 2 courses of treatment, one course with 10 continuous days. Herbal drugs modified of Tianma Gouteng Yin( Shuijianbi) are used 3prd, 2 courses of treatment, one course with 10 continuous days. Control group only use the herbal drugs as the same as treatment group. We observe these two clinical treatments Separately.Result:1. cure rate of treatment group(acupuncture and herbal drugs) is 39.4%,ORR is 87.88%,both of which are higher than control group with 22.6% and 70.97%(P<0.05).2. pretherapy score of TCM syndromes in both two groups are significantly higher than post treatment(P<0.05).3. post treatment symptoms in both two groups are significantly better than pretherapy(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. treatment of hyperactivity of Liver-Yang Syndrome of dizziness with acupuncture and herbal drugs is effective. 2. treatment with acupuncture and herbal drugs can reduce the score of hyperactivity of Liver-Yang Syndrome significantly.3. treatment with acupuncture and herbal drugs could improve the symptoms of Liver-Yang Syndrome of dizziness effectively.4. treatment with acupuncture and herbal drugs will be widely accepted by patients, because their convenience, effective treatment, no side effects. |
