OBJECTIVE:Clinical pharmacy is an important part of curative activity in hospital and as a member of medical treatment team, clinical pharmacists, cooperating with doctors and nurses, provide preventive health service with patient under the support of administration department in the hospital.Whether clincal pharmacy work could perform successfully dependent on the attitude and endeavour of clinical pharmacists and the attitude of health professional staff and administrators. In order to investigate the hospital health professional staff's cognition and evaluation of clinical pharmacy performance and clinical pharmacist, we carried out the systematical and normal survey, as health professional staff in Shanghai frist and secondary grade hospital institutions as the subject, and did the deeply statistical analysis for the resluts to propose some useful advices with intention.METHODS:Referring the correlated documents we design the Likert measuring scale with five pionts to reflect the attitude of doctors, pharmacists and nurses. As far as hoapital adminstrators, there was no coorrelated documents.So we use the commom questionare to collect overall conditions, to provide data for measuring sacle design. A random sample of 30 hospitals in Shanghai were formed, among them, there are 20 frist grade and 10 secondary grade acorrding to hospital ranking regulations. The clinical pharmacist part was distributed to 3 sheets per frist grade hospital and 2 sheets per secondary hospital, which is according to the lowest requirement of clincal pharmacists posts in Shanghai, the administrator part was distributed to one sheet per hospital, other partied was distributed to 10 sheets per hospital.School of pharmacy Fudan University send introduction letters to the above hospitals to illustrate the objects of investigation; and the qualified investigators handed out questionaries, introduct filling and reclaim them in sites.Investigation data was enter to the software Epidata3.0 by double entry clerks and handled with software SPSS16.0 after rejecting invalid questionnaires.Internal consistency of the scale was evaluated by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient; descriptive statistical analysis was understaken by calculating mean values and standard deviation of every item of subject; the differences of cognitive and evaluation degree on clinical pharmacy performance and clinical pharmacist between subjects with different background were analyzed respectively by t-test and one-way ANOVA analysis; structural differences of cognitive and evaluation degree on clinical pharmacy performance and clinical pharmacist in health professional staff were analyzed by explorative factor analysis.CONCLUSION:This investigation was designed in according with the characteristics of various health professionals and the relationship with the clinical pharmacy. Large amount of questionnaires were issued with a wide range, and both recovery rates and effective rate has meet the requirement. Subjects cover the different kinds and levels of health professional about sex, age, education degree, profession, job post, work skills, seniority and other fields with strong representation. The investigation possess higher reliability as all of it's Cronbach's alpha higher than 0.6.The mean scores of all kinds of sujects were higher than 3.0. It illustrates that there was a common cognition of clinical pharmacy performance and clinical pharmacist among these subjects, but their cognition were superficial and should be penetrated deeply. The standard deviation of all terms were less than 1.0. It illustrates that the discrepancy is tiny. As far as administrators, the results demonstrate that they conceived the concept of clinical pharmacy mandatory through regulations and documents. So they didn't form the concrete and perceptible cognition about clinical pharmacy work, which induces their congition and evaluation relative lower.The results of t-test and one-way ANOVA analysis discover that the health professional staff with different occupations has different influential factor to the cognition and evaluation of clinical pharmacy, some of which displayed rules at certain extent, which should be taken in consideration at next work. The results of explorative factor analysis discover that there was structural differences of cognitive and evaluation degree on clinical pharmacy performance and clinical pharmacist in health professional staff, which which should be taken in consideration at next work.
