Tic disorder (TD) is one kind of chronic psychiatric diseases with the onset of childhood, and involuntary sudden, rapid, repetitive, non-rhythm, a single or multiple muscle movements or audible. In the general population in the incidence rate is unknown, but it has increased significantly in recent years.In this paper, some summaries have been done about the Synopsis, the etiology and the treatment of TD on both modern medicine and Chinese medicine.Objection:The research summarized the patients'common characters and my teacher's clinical experiences, and observed the clinical efficacy of the treatment of TD which belongs to the deficiency of spleen-and-kidney-yang type. Method:35 Clinical observation cases originated from the Guang'an Gate hospital department of pediatrics outpatient. The standards to choose the cases were the Fourth (DSM-Ⅳ) and the standard of the deficiency of spleen-and-kidney-yang type revised in the integrated traditional and western medicine meeting in April 2005, SPSS 18 was conducted to summary the patients' characters and to do comparison before and after the treatment in order to observe the clinical efficacy. Before and after the treatment,35 patients were scoring in a tic quantitative score referred to the YGTSS, and use the paired T-test to carry on the curative effect contrast, simultaneously count the treatment effectiveness. Results:The percentage of boys'is higher than girls'. The age seeing doctors concentrates much between 6-10 years old. The morbidity age concentrates between 5-7 years old; the course is more by 1-3 years. Having taken the western medicine children are more than having not taken. The percentage of MT is the highest. The symptoms are most the asthenia and the abdominal pain. The Chinese medicines are most the dried orange peel, the pinellia tuber, the fuling, the amethyst. Taking Paired T test was applied before and after treatment for dates with obvious difference (P<0.05).11 cases were cured,13cases were obviously effective,9 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective, and they all did not have any adverse reaction. The rate of total effectiveness is 94.3%. Conclusion:Some TD cases were belonged to the deficiency of spleen-and-kidney-yang type. The right treatment was effective. The research proposed the new efficient path of the TD treatment.
