Iodine-rich Chinese Herbal Compound The Impact Of The Hyperthyroid Rat Thyroid Function And Morphology

Purpose To observe the effect of Iodine-rich Chinese herbal compound(Haizao Yuhu Decoction) on thyroid function and morphology in hyperthyroidism Wistar rats due to iodine excess.Material and method Experimental model was made with thyroxine tablets,then the rats were divided randomly into 4 groups:model group,Haizao Yuhu Decoction group,Haizao Yuhu Decoction to remove iodine-rich Chinese medicine group and Methimazole group.Rats were treaded with different treatment programs.14 days later,serum TT₃ and TT₄ were measured with RIA,morphology change was observed under microscope.Results1.TT₃:The value of Haizao Yuhu Decoction group was higher than normal group, but did not have obvious difference,P＞0.05;Significantly lower than model group and Haizao Yuhu Decoction to remove iodine-rich Chinese medicine group,P＜0.05; higher than Methimazole group,but did not have obvious difference,P＞0.05.The value of Haizao Yuhu Decoction to remove iodine-rich Chinese medicine group were higher than model group,P＞0.05.2.TT₄:The value of Haizao Yuhu Decoction group was markedly higher than normal group,P＜0.05;Significantly lower than model group and Haizao Yuhu Decoction to remove iodine-rich Chinese medicine group,P＜0.05,higher than Methimazole group,but did not have obvious difference,P＞0.05.The value of Haizao Yuhu Decoction to remove iodine-rich Chinese medicine group were higher than model group,P＞0.05.3.morphology change:Different factors can recover the morphology at different level,but have not yet returned to normal,morphology has not seen the obvious side effect.ConclusionIodine-rich Chinese herbal compound(Haizao Yuhu Decoction)can obviously reduce blood serum TT₃,the TT₄ level in hyperthyroidism Wistar rats,morphology has not seen the obvious damnification.
