| Background:Dry eye(keratoconjuctivitis sicca,KCS) is a kind of frequent-occurring ophthalmic disease,especially when people's living environment, lifestyle and work habit have changed in recent years.Through Over the literature of the last decade,we can see the cause of dry eye is still unclear,treatments are un-effective and detection methods also need to be improved;the application of immunosuppressive agents,hormones and surgical methods have many drawbacks.At present,the treatments of modern medicine just base on symptom for local treatment and the use of artificial tear substitutes,permanent or temporary closure of lacrimal system,wearing glasses wet room etc to preserve tears.Therefore,to find a safe,reliable,and satisfactory therapy of dry eye needed.TCM based on overall conditioning treatment and Treating Disease from the Root.For this disease which results from the reducing of tear secretion and subjective sensation problems,acupuncture therapy is Simple,convenient,cheap,effective,stable and non-toxic side effects on organs and tissues,not only directly stimulate lacrimal gland tear secretion,but also stipulate Qi and blood circulation of the whole body,which should be used for more patients.This study based on the phenomena of dry eye acupuncture treatment of partial points selection less using distant points,and the evaluation method of acupuncture for tear secretion was relatively simple.The evaluation did not discuss gender,age and the change of subjective feelings in cure. Linking with headway of current research,this study carried out the relevant work of the task.Objective:For the reason of "deficiency of liver and kidney,internal heat due to Yin deficiency,or damp heat of spleen and lung",this research used the measure of tear secretion determination combined with survey methods which meant the laboratory examination of objective indicators and survey methods of subjective experience to research the efficacy of acupuncture and related issues of dry eye, discuss the effect of difference about age,gender,and other relevant factors during acupuncture treatment at different time points,and forecast the trend of tear secretion after needles.Methods:This study extracted 30 patients in acupuncture dry eye department of Tongren hospital,and used the tear secretion test(Schirmerl test,Slt) and a questionnaire between treatments to research.Tear secretion test was used for Pre-mid-late of acupuncture treatment Comparative Analysis,namely using repeated measure analysis of variance to analyze the data about the pre-treatment,treatment of 10 times 1 hour later and 20 times 1 hour later;t test to analyze the numerical values of Scale measurement of 20 times 1 hour later and pre-treatment. Results:1 Experimental values of tear secretion by the spherical test statistics,Multivariate Analysis of Variance,meant a statistical significance.Tear secretion values increased significantly.Slt values were(3.43±2.14) mm,(4.52±2.18) mm,(6.02±3.77) mm, and Measuring changes indicate the trend over time(Hotelling's Trace p=0.001).2 Different age groups were differences in tear secretion values after a one-way ANOVA analysis.Time2,age2(30-40 age group) Slt values was more than patients ages3,4,5,with statistical significance.The value of age 2 was the highest in three time points,age 1(age 20-30) tear secretion had significantly increasing trend in values,and its expectation was the best.3 The mean tear secretion was different between man and women.Male value of Pre-mid-late treatment was higher than female.The reason based on the characteristic of dry eye itself and the low acupuncture tolerance of male patients.4 Because of clinical experience "chief complaint of patients' left and right eye visual acuity are different and effects are different too",the study chose left eye and right eye for the treatment group and control group to discuss.Result meant the effect between eyes no difference.However,the basis value of right eye Slt,effect of treatment,and symptom improvement was better than the left eye.5 According to Bonferroni t test,the results of the Pre-mid-late comparison showed the statistics were significance(p＜0.03).6 Application of orthogonal polynomial model for the relationship between volume of tear secretion(y) and time(t),the research received ?j=4.66+1.30c1j,which could indicate the volume of tear secretion with the increase of treatment.The trend of disease was better.7 There were difference scale total scores before and after treatment of dry eye (t=2.86,p=0.008).T analysis show that after needles,patients with consciousness data of "fear of light" significant improved(p＜0.01);"dry","hot" and "conscious vision" improved(0.01＜p＜0.05).Patients felt deteriorated about the items "emotion" and "daily life".The reason maybe associated with those patient's age(average age 43.7 years),and the old patients had higher expectations after contrasting with the young patients.Conclusion:1 Dry eye lead to liver and kidney,or involve spleen,lung.The basic pathogenesis is "liver and kidney deficiency,internal heat due to Yin deficiency,or humid heat of spleen and lung".2 The main topic of acupuncture points based on local election directly stimulating secretion of tear glands,the overall selection recuperating the circulation of Qi and blood whole body.3 After acupuncture treatment:(1)Numerical value of dry eye tear secretion increased significantly.(2)The numerical value of 30-40 age group patients increased significantly;20-30 age group patients with the highest Slt value expected.(3)The numerical value of male patients was better than female patients after acupuncture treatment.(4)The based and the added value of right eye tear secretion was better than the left eye.(5)According to Bonferroni test,the value of tear secretion was statistically significant at different time points,the effect of acupuncture for treatment of dry eye is stable.(6)According to the regression equation(?)j=4.66+1.30c1j,the volume of tear secretion increased with the treatment,and the disease showed improvement in the trend.(7)There were difference scale total scores before and after treatment of dry eye.T analysis showed that after needles,patients with consciousness data of "fear of light", "pick small items" significant improved;"dry","hot" and "conscious vision" improved. |
