Tcm Syndrome Distribution Of Functional Constipation, And The Correlation Of Anxiety And Depression

Purpose:To investigate the laws of TCM syndrome-classification of Functional Constipation(FC);to research the relevance of anxiety-de pression and FC,as well as the relationship between the different T CM Syndrome FC and anxiety-depression.Methods:1.Case selection:PC group composed of 105 cases were tre ated in Guang'an Men Hospital out-patient clinics and wards from Se ptember 2008 to February 2009.Healthy control group composed of 25 cases who were received physical examination,interns,training docto rs and other subjects in the hospital during the same period.FC gro up subjects Should comply with the RomeⅢdiagnostic criteria and TCM syndrome diagnostic criteria of FC and inclusion criteria.Hea lthy control group should comply with health standards for the cont rol group.They should not have any a exclusion criteria.2.Researchmethods:To obtain informed consent of subjects before research,t hen,to conduct on-site mental state score for all subjects with HA MA and HAMD scale,and to conduct symptom score and syndrome differ entiation for FC group with TCM Syndrome Questionnaire.The data sh ould be dealt with SPSS11.0 for statistics and analysis.Results:1.TCM syndrome types distribution:weakness of the spleen and stomach,dryness of intestinal due to Yin deficiency,depressio n and stagnation of Qi,asdthenic splenonephro-yang,stagnation of stomach and intestinal;Symptom constituent ratio:symptoms just l ike difficult defecation,abdominal distention,time interval prolo ngation of defecation,dry stool,hypodynamia,upseting and disturban ce,Coolness of extremities,loss of memory,dry mouth and eructati on,etc,take the larger proportion.2.HAMA and HAMD scores of FC gro up are higher than that of healthy control group,and the differenc e is most significantly(P＜0.01).3.HAMA and HAMD scores of depressi on and stagnation of QI are both the highest in the all syndrome ty pes,and the difference has Statistical significance(P＜0.05).4.HAMA and HAMD scores of FC group,whose nature of disease belongs to de ficiency and excess mixing,are the highest,and the difference is most significantly(P＜0.01). Conclusion:Clinically,weakness of the spleen and stomach and dryn ess of intestinal due to Yin deficiency are two main syndrome types, which is supported by symptom constituent ratio.There's significa nt correlation between FC and anxiety-depression,and FC of depress ion and stagnation of Qi is most closely related to anxiety-depress ion.
