Moxibustion Zhiyin Corrected Malposition Validation Study

Objective:To evaluate therapeutic effect of moxibustion with moxa stick on the point of zhiyin in order to rectify malpresentation.Methods:Two hundred and ninety-six cases were randomly assigned to experimental group(one hundred and forty-seven cases) and control group(one hundred and forty-nine cases).The experimental group were treated by moxibustion with moxa stick on the both point of zhiyin(BL67)with two times every day,and the treatment lasted fifteen minutes.The control group were treated by knee chest position with two times every day,and the treatment lasted fifteen minutes. Course of treatment was seven days for two cases.If the malpresentation was rectified and kept throught one Course of treatment,or the malpresentation was not rectified throught one Course of treatment,the treatment was stopped;If the malpresentation was rectified throught one Course of treatment,but then it came back as it was before,the patient was treated again by one Course of treatment.All cases were observed to parturition.Results:In The experimental group,there were one hundred and fifteen excellent cases,eight effective cases and twenty-four ineffective cases;In The control group,there were seventy-two excellent cases,three effective cases and seventy-four ineffective cases.After treatment,the effective rate of normal position in the experimental group was obviously superior to that in the control group(P＜0.01).There was no differences of result among the three research centers (P＞0.05),which indicated that the therapeutic effect among three research centers was consistent.Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of moxibustion with moxa stick on the point of zhiyin in order to rectify malpresentation is exact,and the treatment method is Capable of being handled and safe,so it is well worth spreaded.
