Objective:According to TCM,cervical syndrome belongs to the category of "bi-syndrome","flaccidity-syndrome","dizziness"and "stiffness of neck"which pathogenesis are Taiyang channel obstruction, imbalance between ying-energ and wei-energy,stagnated Qi and blood stasis, deficiency of Qi and blood resulted by wind, cold, damp,or overstrain. Cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy is the most familiar.Cervical Spondylopathy of Vertebral Artery(CSA)is a common disease based on cervical spaine disks degeneration. The degenerated tissues and structures compress or stimulate the cervical spinal cord, nerves, blood vessel, and soft tissues.Thereby it leads to ischemia of vertebrobasilar system, and causes a series of clinical manifestations such as dizziness, tinnitus, vomitting, headache, visual disorder, cataplexy, and so on.CSA is the most frequent style in cervical syndrome as the progress and development of modern society, and the changing of life pattern, the incidence rate of CSA has increased in recent years. Besides, the age of onset of this illness has been yonger than before.CSA has become one of serve diseases which threatens people with health andliving quality. Therefore, more study on CSA and to find the effective way of treatment are very meaningful.Based on my tutor's long-teen clinical practice, modern research and systematic review of literature,we adopted therapeutic method of acupuncture and moxibustion with other points according to different symptoms and signs. It's purpose is to research the physio-mechanisms of effect of acupuncture and moxibustion therapeutics using the Transcranial Doppler(TCD),furthermore to discuss the effective assessment indexes of traditional Chinese madicine in treating CSA.Methods: Study was performed on 100 patients with CSA,which was proved by symptoms, indexes of body and relation examines, who was from in-patient departments of acupuncture and moxibustion of HuBei hospital of traditional Chinese medicine and was randomly divided into two groups: the treating group, which was composed of 50 patients who were treated by acupuncture and moxibustion such points as jiaji, fengchi, taiyang, baihui point;the control group, which was composed of 50 patients who were treated only by acupunture.Observing respective symptoms, indexes of body, the effects of treatment based on syndrome differentiation, and changes of TCD′indexes,to compare the clinic effects of two groups.Results:1 The remarkably improved rates of the treating group and control group were 80.0%and 62.0%respectively.The improved rates of the two groups were 96.0%and 80.0%.There were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05),obviously,the treating group was superior to the control group.2 There was a significant difference in the effect of treatment based on syndrome differentiation in both groups(P<0.05).The curative effect on accumulation of phlegm and dampness in the middle jiao, and qi deficiency and blood stasis was most marked in the treatment group.3 Compared with before and after tenting, there were very significant differences on V.of LVA,RVA and BA of the treating group and the control group(P<0.05).Compared the after treating of the two groups, there were significant differences on V,of LVA,RVA and BA(P<0.05).It declares that the treating group was superior to the control group on improving blood flow of LVA,RVA and BA.Conclusion:There were better effects on treating CSA's means of combining acupuncture and moxibustion which can significantly improve relation symptoms, indexes of body and changes of TCD' indexes and it likely has no vice or poisonous effects,lt can be accepted and shoud be worth applying further in practice.
