Objective:This study was designed to observe the therapeutic effects of FuzhengJiangni decoction on lessening vomiting in cisplatin chemotherapy of lung cancer and to evaluate its safety,to explore the treatment of vomiting caused by chemotherapy in the Chinese and Western Integrative Medicine.Methods:62 patients of lung cancer were randomized into two groups. There were 32 patients in the treatment group and 30 patients in the control group. The two groups have good comparability. Both of the two groups were treated with NP/GP chemotherapy, and received an injection of Granisetron before the beginning of chemotherapy. In addition, patients in the treatment group also took FuzhengJiangni decoction, from the day before chemotherapy until the end of this course of the treatment.Continuous observation of two courses of chemotherapy, through observation of treatment and control groups the incidence and the severity of vomiting to determine the therapeutic effects of Fuzhengjiangni decoction.By looking at two groups of patients with physical changes in blood, liver and kidney function and the electrocardiogram changes to evaluate the safety of clinical use.Results:1 After two courses of chemotherapy, the completed rate of the treatment group was 100%(32/32),higher than 96.7%(29/30),but the difference between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05).2 The Clinical comparison of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: in the first course of treatment, the total effective rate in treatment group was 71.9%,higher than 56.7%(P<0.05);No.2 course,The total effective rate was 75.0%,higher than the control group,56.7%(P<0.05). Treatment was significantly better than the control group.3 Effects on cisplatin-induced acute vomiting:NO.1 course, the effective rate in treatment group was 87.5%,higher than 73.3%,(P<0.05);No.2 course, the effective rate in treatment group was 84.4%,higher than that in control group 70.0%(P<0.05).Treatment was significantly better than the control group.4 Effects on cisplatin-induced delayed vomiting:NO.1 course, the effective rate in treatment group was 90.6%,higher than 53.3%(P<0.05); No.2 course, the effective rate in treatment group was 93.8%,higher than the control group 55.2%(P<0.05).Treatment was significantly better than the control group.5 In the two courses of chemotherapy, the incidence rate of constipation, abdominal discomfort and loss of appetite in treatment group were all lower than controls(P<0.05).6 After chemotherapy, the treatment group CD8+ lowered, while that in control group increased(P<0.05);treatment group CD4+/CD8+ increased, while controls lowered(P<0.05);NK cell activity in treatment group increased, there were significant differences compared with the control group(P<0.05).7 After chemotherapy, the physical condition of patients in the treatment group is better than controls(P<0.05).8 After treatment, the physical changes in blood, liver, kidney function and changes in the electrocardiogram have no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:FuzhengJiangni decoction with granisetron injection can effectively combat chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. There were significant effects on cisplatin-induced acute vomiting and delayed vomiting.Fuzheng Jiangni decoction can also improve the patient's immune capability and the general condition.FuzhengJiangni decoction have no toxic and side effects. The clinical application of FuzhengJiangni decoction is safe and effective.
