Objective: To study effect of the long-time moderate exercise on plasma UⅡat SHR, and to explore the mechanism of UⅡin depressing blood pressure through exercise, which provides theoretical basis for application of exercise in prevention and cure hypertension. Method: Male spontaneously hypertensive rat (16SHR) were divided into two groups randomly: SHR exercise group (8SHR) and SHR compare group (8SHR). Male wistar rat (8WT) were normal compare group. SHR exercise group were trained on a swimming at moderate intensity (90min/times) for 8weeks (6times/wk). Resting blood pressure and body weight were measured weekly during exercise period. After the exercise period, the concentration of UⅡ, No, and PGI2 in three group rat plasma were measured.Result: (1) After– 8 week swimming exercise, the resting blood pressure was decreased in SHR exercise group while it was increased (P<0.05) in SHR compare group compared with that of pre– experiment. The extent of the body weight of SHR exercise group puts on decreases followed by ages compared with the SHR compare group (P<0.01). (2) Compared with normal compare group, plasma UⅡconcentration was increased (P<0.05) in SHR exercise group after 8– week swimming exercise.Compared with SHR compare group, Plasma No concentration and PGI2 production were increased (P<0.05) in SHR exercise group after exercise. Conclusion: The long– time regular moderate exercise training can inhibit the increase of blood pressure in hypertension. One of the mechanisms of Training– induced preventing and curing hypertension may be mediated by improving plasma UⅡlevel, which suggest that UⅡis one of the vasoactive peptides that take part in regulating blood pressure through moderate exercise, which possible mechanism is UⅡcan enhance No concentration and PGI2 production in plasma, which can decrease blood pressure. The two factos effectively inhibit SHR blood pressure together.
