Objective:Observing the curative effect of the traditional Chinese herb medicine Buyanghuanwu Decoction and acupuncture on the disease of acute cerebral infarction.Methods:1,85 patients of ACI coming from the inpatient department were divided randomly into two groups: the control group(40patients, treated with modern western medicine and the treatment group(45 patients, treated with combination of modern western medicine, the traditional Chinese herb medicine Buyanghuanwu Decoction and acupuncture).2,The blood-routine, urine-routine, stool-routine, lever function, kidney function and ECG were examined to judge the safety.3,observing the symptoms, signs and total effective ratios before and after the treatment, making a statistical disposal and comparing the therapeutic efficacy.Results:The symptoms and signs of the patents of the two groups after the treatment were better than those before the treatment. Compared between the two groups, the significant control rate (75.6%) and the total effective rate(95.6%) of the treatment group was significant better than those of the control group(whose significant control rate was 40% and total effect rate was 72.5%) and there was significant difference between them (P<0.05).Conclusion:1,45 patients of ACI were treated with combination of modern western medicine, the traditional Chinese herb medicine Buyanghuanwu Decoction and acupuncture in this practice. And we got a conclusion: 12 basic completely recovered patients(26.7%), 22 significant effective patients(48.9%), 9 effective patients(20%), 2 ineffective patients(4.4%) and the total effective rate was 95.6%. The patients had a better result of the treatment with combination of modem western medicine, the traditional Chinese herb medicine Buyanghuanwu Decoction and acupuncture.2,Buyanghuanwu Decoction and acupuncture had a constant effect on the ACI patients in the clinical practice: they could relieve the symptoms. Its mechanism still needs to inquiry and study in many ways in the further.
